Neurotoxins are better known under brand names such as Botox Cosmetic®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®. In our practice, we have opted to use the following products for the following reasons. Xeomin®, or Incobotulinum toxin A, are not bound by proteins. This pure formulation makes it possible for the products to withstand temperatures ranging from 25° C to 40° C for their entire shelf-life of three years. Other types of neurotoxins, eg. Botox Cosmetic®, Dysport®, has to be stored in the refrigerator, at 2° C to 8° C, or in the freezer, below 5° C. During shipping, theses products might lose their effects, which is not of concern with Xeomin® as they can be stored in room temperature. 

Since Xeomin® is not bound by any active proteins, they are also less likely to trigger allergic reactions and help prevent antibody resistance. Antibody resistance becomes a problem with Botox Cosmetic® over time as the product ceases to have the same effect. Studies have shown Xeomin® to be just as effective as Botox Cosmetic and last as long if not longer.
